When referencing our national coverage PDF, or viewing criminal record sources, you will see that a majority of them come from the AOC or the DOC.
AOC = Administrative Office of the Courts
DOC = Department of Corrections
The AOC is the state-wide court system and oversees all county courts. All of the county courts in the state report their data to the AOC. This can include any conviction that has happened in a county court.
The DOC is the state correctional department, which oversees all incarceration, probation, and parole. They maintain records of individuals that were sentenced to serve time in a state facility. They do not maintain court records.
Please remember to reference the coverage PDF for the US Criminal Rapid Search to be aware of the coverage in the area your applicant resides.
